Hey All,
Just a quick note to say that I'm really looking forward to starting the "Love To Beg" tour on February 3rd in Erfurt, Germany! It's the month of love, and a great time to be a DFB "Lover"!
I’m happy to welcome aboard our new drummer, Tom Curiano.
We know many of the same musicians in NYC and I heard he was great, but when Tom came in for the audition, I was floored. You'll certainly hear why soon. He's also a killer singer so we'll have some sweet harmonies. We've had a lot of fun doing late night vocal rehearsals at my apartment. Of course we'll be joining up with our dear friend and bassist Walter Latupeirissa in Hamburg on Tuesday for more rehearsing, then we'll hit the stage.
Man, I need this. I need you all!
On a personal front, my brother Don decided 2 weeks ago to give treatment a try. Hallelujah. While there's no cure for Glioblastoma, with treatment he can have a little more time with us. I have many of YOU to thank for this. Your emails telling me of people you knew who've gone through this treatment with good results were so helpful and encouraging to Don and the rest of us.
So far he's doing well with the treatment and the side effects have been minimal. Doctors think he's young enough to possibly get another 12 months. Of course I am hoping for miraculously more, but as we know, these things are out of our hands. I have another trip planned with him in May in between tours. So, please continue to keep him in your thoughts, prayers, chants, rain-dances, whatever! Who knows, maybe he'll even join me on stage in NYC this April for a song!
Speaking of April, tickets for the Highline Ballroom show in NYC on April 15th are now on sale!! This is the US CD release show and we'll have some very special guest musicians on stage. It promises to be a show like you've never seen!

Happy to hear the news about your brother! Tonight I'll pray for you, your brother and every member of your family and everyone who's close to him.
I've got you a present for when you're coming here in about 1,5 week. Just a little gift :)
I'll be in Weert and in Verviers. Hope Anouk is also joining in Weert, but she's not sure yet (money and stuff, she's going to live together with her boyfriend....). But hey, I'll convince her ;)
I give you all my love and my strength. Can't wait to see you again, you're a true inspiration. I hope with this messagge I give you back a little bit of the strength your music has given me.

Thanks for the gig you gave yesterday in Verviers.
You spent a great energy to give love and pleasure to the audience.
I enjoyed the contribution from all the musicians, and specially from Walter. I 'd already the opportunity to appreciate him when he was playing in the same venue with Snowy White.
