I just got back from a SOLD OUT tour in Norway and spent my first night home in NYC at The Waldorf Astoria honoring the inimitable Julie Taymor, who was being honored at the Pratt Institute's 125th Anniversary Gala
recognizing distinguished individuals in the creative world!
Of which, she is most certainly one!
I sang a few songs with my wonderful friends and 'Across The Universe'
cast mates, Martin Luther McCoy and T.V. Carpio. Also in this picture is
Julie's brilliant beau, composer Elliot Goldenthal. Afterwards, we hung
out and had a little listening party of Elliot's latest musical
masterpieces, including some new stuff that we all sang on! :) Great
way to come home to NYC!
Now...I can't wait to get back to Germany and The Netherlands for my Fall Tour from October 25th through November 5th!
I'm thrilled to be adding the amazing Bob Fridzema on the keys for the German and Dutch
Dates! I've got the band primed to play a bunch of new songs for you from my upcoming CD...AND this will be my last run of European performances for 2012, so I really hope to see you all at one of these special shows!
