The “Love To Beg” Tour is off to a fabulous start!
Oh sure, we’ve had the usual tour stress of harsh travel, delayed flights, lost luggage, Jon's food poisoning, etc, but that's what keeps life interesting!
We're getting great press on the shows and great reviews of the new CD "Love To Beg" which is being officially released in Europe TODAY!
The title track is up on MySpace check it out!
All of the shows have been packed and the audiences have been so great.
I feel so much support from you all for my brother. Thank you all for the signs at shows, the letters after and the love throughout!
It wasn't easy to leave home this time, so I truly thank you for making me feel at home every night.
I am having a great time with Jon, Walter, our new drummer Tom and our wonderful, steady, patient tour manager George. (George is from Bavaria and comes from a long line of horse breeders. He was also a history major so he's quite fascinating to rap with.)
We're now en route to the Duisberg for 2 more shows in Germany, then a few days off in Hamburg, then off to Denmark!
HEY USA: "Love To Beg" will be officially released in the US on April 12th and we'll have our CD release celebration show with some great guests on April 15th at the Highline Ballroom. Get your tix early so you don't get left out!
Speaking of releases, the film I did last year in New Orleans entitled "The Mortician" starring Method Man is opening at the esteemed Berlin Film Festival tomorrow, Feb 12!
In addition to my role as "Ava" in the film, Jon and I did a cover of the great Bobby Bland song “Ain’t No Love In The Heart of The City” for the soundtrack.
As always, please keep checking our tour dates because we are adding new ones every week!
Look forward to "Loving" you all soon.
Love,
Dana
